Interview with Sahndra Fon Dufe – The importance of an apology

Sahndra Fon Dufe - Yefon

Good day Sahndra and welcome to Love Klinic. Can you please tell us a little about yourself?

Sahndra:

Thank you Love Klinic, for this opportunity and I can only say this about myself. I am Sahndra, an actress from Cameroon, and I look forward to showing you a little more about myself through my answers in the interview. BISOU!

Most often, it’s usually very difficult for Celebrities to apologize when they go wrong. As one of the youngest Cameroonians in Hollywood, a multi award winner with a celebrity status, how important is it to apologize to your fans and love ones?

Sahndra:

I am flattered, but I am not an award winner yet, lol. The future is bright, but at this point, not yet, but thank you. Anyways, to answer your question, I have not yet had a reason to apologize to my fans and loved ones, and when the time comes, if and when it does, I’ll keep it 100. I will explain to them why I did whatever it was, and ask them humbly, for forgiveness, because your fans make you. The more they want to see you, forget everyone else. You ARE in business.

What ways do you use to apologize to your fans or love ones when you fail to please them?

Sahndra:

I am sorry.

Wow, that sounds simple and cool. Okay assuming another actor publicly says something bad about you, let’s say over a popular television channel like MTV and later apologizes privately to you, in your sitting room for instance. How are you going to handle such a situation?

Sahndra:

I am not the best to answer this question, only because, I have a thick skin. No matter what another actor, producer or anyone else says about me, I won’t crack. I know who I am, and I have a strong support system, around my immediate family and friends, so it helps you to do your own thing, and not care too much about that other stuff, but to answer your question, specifically, I have already forgiven them before meeting with them. If I don’t forgive them, I won’t sleep. I’m a very passionate person lol. So when they apologize, I would thank them for doing so, and life moves on. Don’t be surprised if I throw in a little ‘smile for the camera’ CLICK! lol

Sahndra some people say “you don’t apologize; it’s a sign of weakness”. What do you have to say about this?

Sahndra:

I have to agree. Only the strong in character know that if you eff up, clean your mess. You made IT, so CLEAN IT UP! Absolutely! I think apologizing is sexy!

What advice can you give to those who don’t know the importance of an apology?

Sahndra:

That, it makes you a douche. C’mon man, if someone hurt your feelings, you would want them to make sure you’re okay. So, do same. It’s not that hard. I mean, look at it this way. You don’t have to think you are wrong, but if the other person is hurt, just empathize with them and say look, I didn’t MEAN to, but SOMEHOW, I DID hurt you, and I’m sorry about that.*

And just so you know, I wasn’t always this way, but I learnt, so if I did, you can too.

Before we conclude Sahndra, is there any other thing you will like our readers to know?

Sahndra:

Well readers, it is going to be on this Valentine’s Day at the movie theaters, and this women’s day on amazon. Guess what? Both of them have me in it! Show some love!

Meanwhile, I thank you for taking the time to read this interview. You would have been cooking your fufu or watching TV or something, but you chose me, I appreciate it!!!! And I love you all, always!
